GenEndIt

Youth Power to end AIDS by 2030

GenEndIt is a collaborative initiative to empower youth to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic by 2030. It is a coalition of youth-serving organisations made up by AVERT, the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, the Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation, The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Grassroot Soccer, MTV Staying Alive Foundation, Sentebale, The PACT, and UNAIDS.

GenEndIt’s work focuses primarily on creating a global community of youth activists in partnership with a coalition of organisations championing young people who share a common commitment to ending HIV and AIDS as a public health threat.

GenEndIt has three focuses:

  1. The project is focused on creating and promoting messages by youth for youth that highlight HIV in all its complexities, the political and social realities associated with it and how we can realistically end AIDS for good;
  2. GenEndIt intends to engage youth, both physically, online and through peer-to-peer interaction
  3. It intends to build and maintain a collaborative network of individuals and organizations committed to supporting and sustaining the initiative’s goal of empowering youth to end AIDS.
