Anakazi Leaders [ended]

Providing young women with the career skills and the financial knowledge required to prosper at work.

Through the Anakazi Leaders project we provide mentorship opportunities and internships to young women and girls in Zambia to allow them to gain essential career skills and access expert knowledge. Our training helps participants improve their confidence and become decision makers. We help unlock their potential so they can help their communities.

I grew up being told, you can never do the work a man does, but since the Anakazi Leaders project came in, it helped me learn to value myself. My self-confidence has improved! The training made me realise that I have potential.

Tionge, a young changemaker working on the Anakazi project.

The training, mentorship, and support have helped young women become decision-makers and actively participate in male-dominated industries. It has improved their livelihood and in turn, encouraged other women to take up leadership roles in their communities.

This project is funded by the  Human Institute For Cooperation With Developing Countries (HIVOS).
