Our Approach to Safeguarding

About the Role
The overall objective of the assignment is to facilitate training for youth on composting practices that utilise environmental and organic manure production. The training will target the 200 selected project participants located in three Iringa DC wards namely, Ifunda, Kihanga and Maboga.
Key Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Restless Development staff, the service provider will be required to do the following:
- Provide composite practices and organic manure production training to all 14 project groups located in 3 Iringa DC wards namely ,Ifunda, Kihanga and Maboga.
- Conduct assessments to youth and submit the results of the assessment (pre- and post-test) and conduct in-session assessments to measure youth understanding.
- Offer post-training support and advice to youth.
- Ensure efficient and effective utilization of resources provided by the organization during training and make sure that outcomes are maximized.
- Submit an activity report to Restless Development upon completion of the specific activity in accordance with the Terms of Reference.
Deliverables
- Submit a training schedule and training manuals for approval before the training;
- Present pre- and post-training assessment data to Restless Development at the end of the training for comments.
- Submit photos and videos as documentation of the training sessions.
Qualifications
- More than 5 years experience working in a similar field of work.
- Extensive experience in facilitating composite practices and organic manure production training to youth.
- Local knowledge of the regions and languages of Iringa.
- Excellent technical capacities in composite practices and organic manure production.
Remuneration
The service provider’s payment shall be based on the financial proposal developed for this consultancy. Payment shall be made in 2 instalments of;
- 40% down payment upon submission of an inception report acceptable in Restless Development.
- 60% final payment upon submission of the final outputs, incorporating suggestions and recommendations from Restless Development.
