I’ve participated in surveys, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), using tools like the KOBO collect app to gather insights on how climate change is impacting women and girls in my community.

The work hasn’t been easy—convincing people to value the voices of young women in climate discussions was a challenge. But my determination has grown stronger. I’ve seen how education and community engagement can drive change, and I’m committed to amplifying the voices of girls in climate advocacy. In my free time, I love gardening, organizing events, and finding innovative ways to engage young people in creating a better future.”

When I first heard about the G2C2 project, I was excited but hesitant—I had never worked on anything like this before. However, joining the program has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Before this project, I was shy and unsure of myself. I found it difficult to speak in front of others, let alone lead discussions. But through the training and fieldwork, I gained the confidence to talk to community members, conduct surveys, and even engage with government officials.

In my free time, I enjoy watching Bollywood movies, listening to music, and reading books. The G2C2 project has shown me that I’m capable of much more than I thought, and I’m excited to continue contributing to my community.”

Through this project, I’ve had the opportunity to work on climate change and support the women and girls in my community, who are disproportionately affected by its impacts.

Being part of G2C2 has been transformative. The fieldwork has taught me leadership, patience, and empathy—skills I gained from interacting with people during surveys and discussions. I’ve also learned about the gendered impacts of climate change, like how in a patriarchal village like ours, a pregnant woman might be forced to fetch water during a drought, bearing the brunt of these challenges.
