Restless Development Uganda’s January–February 2026 newsletter highlights key initiatives;
Placing young people at the centre of governance, leadership, and community development. From strengthening youth participation in decision-making in Karamoja through the Youth Influence in Governance and Accountability (YIGA) project, to supporting youth-led organisations under the AU-EU Youth Action Lab, the period reflects growing youth leadership across Uganda.
The edition also showcases the impact of girl-led research training empowering young women to analyse community challenges and influence local governance, as well as the Graduate Career Accelerator Programme (GCAP), where interns are gaining hands-on experience and contributing to community initiatives. Together, these efforts demonstrate how investing in young people’s leadership, skills, and civic engagement is driving meaningful change in communities across the country.
