This report sheds light on the current state of adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Tanzania, highlighting both challenges and emerging opportunities for progress.
The report explores gaps in policy implementation, limited coordination among stakeholders, and the absence of young people—particularly adolescent girls—in decision-making spaces. These barriers continue to affect access to essential SRHR services and information.
However, the study also identifies areas where change is taking hold, with growing momentum toward more inclusive and youth-responsive approaches.
At its core, the analysis issues a call to action: to reimagine and redesign Tanzania’s SRHR policy landscape in a way that is bold, inclusive, and informed by the lived realities of adolescents. It envisions a future where every young person—especially girls—can access their rights safely, freely, and with dignity.
