Building on the new normal, Restless Development India aspires for India’s young people to lead the country through the moments of crisis and uncertainty.
We know that young people can take pivotal and leadership roles in crisis situations to steer the local response, organize communities and generate vital information for national recovery in economic, social and educational aspects. People in the marginalised communities across India are facing dire repercussions of the ongoing pandemic. This includes the burden of domestic care and work, reduced financial independence and future prospects, higher rates of sexual, physical and domestic violence, reduced access to vital healthcare and hygiene facilities, and a lot more.
The Good Sight magazine, a known platform dedicated to showcase development initiatives, presented the work of our young volunteers during COVID-19 in the August 2020 edition of their magazine.
