What a year it has been for Restless Development! In 2025, we marked a major milestone, our 40th birthday and we also celebrated reaching 10 million young change makers worldwide, even while navigating significant global challenges. The magic of Restless has always been our people and our collective values, friendships, hard work and courage continue to drive change, turning challenges into opportunities and supporting young people to transform their lives and communities.
As the year comes to an end, we do so with deep appreciation for the young people, supporters and partners who make this work possible and with renewed energy for the change still to come.

Meet Gertrude
Meet Gertrude from Zambia, who after joining the Youth Savings and Loans Association (YSLA) in 2023, saved enough to start her own mobile banking business. Today, she owns one mobile bank in Kasenengwa and two more in Chipata, and she is even paying her own school fees through her hard work. Her success is inspiring other girls in her community to take charge of their futures too. Gertrude’s story is just one example of the incredible impact made when we support young people.
