The LUNA Project is a youth-led UK charity dedicated to supporting and amplifying the voices of young disabled people. Founded by three friends who wanted to create a space for open conversations about disability, LUNA has grown into a community of around 50 young volunteers aged 16-30. The charity focuses on increasing awareness, fostering supportive friendships, and advocating for better experiences in medical and educational settings. Through workshops, online resources, and collaborations with other organisations, LUNA ensures that young disabled people have access to the tools and peer support they need.

YGF funding for LUNA is used to enhance the charity’s sustainability, invest in training and social opportunities for volunteers, and support long-term growth. It also enables  in-person team-building events to strengthen the community aspect of the organisation. Additionally, funding allows LUNA to expand its projects, develop new resources, and collaborate with external organisations, ultimately reaching more young disabled people and ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
