This project is driven by Sara aged 12 from Dewsbury. Sara is leading the planning and delivery of workshops, activities, and events that tackle the challenges she has experienced, like a lack of accessible opportunities in a town with little to offer young people.
Sara has already proven she can lead. In December, she ran an enterprise day with our Scouts group. She was the CEO of the Girls team, she created heritage-themed products, designed promotional videos, and managed sales, all led by young people. It brought people to her town and showed how much they could achieve. She even used the event to trial a taster session for this project, and the response has been amazing.
For this project, she’ll take charge of designing and running skills-building workshops, sports sessions, and termly community events. She’ll work with local groups and businesses to make it a true community effort.
