Towards Safe, Inclusive, and Equitable Digital Health Futures
The digital world is shaping how we access health, connect with each other, and speak up for our human rights. But not everyone benefits from digital technologies equally, and too many young people and marginalised communities face stigma, surveillance, and exclusion online. We recognise that power imbalances, inequities, and gaps in digital governance threaten the health and human rights of people around the globe.
That is why we are coming together and taking a stand; as young people, communities, governments, funders, tech companies, and global citizens, to commit to bold action. We believe in a future where everyone can access digital health safely, affordably, and without fear.

Help us shape a digital world where human rights come first.Â
- Ensure Safe and Accessible Digital Spaces: We affirm that all young adults should be able to participate safely and meaningfully in digital spaces without facing stigma. Where digital environments are unsafe or exclusionary, we commit to identifying and addressing barriers,—whether technological, economic, cultural, or legal,—that hinder digital inclusion.
 - Act on Technology-Facilitated Abuse: We acknowledge that technology-facilitated abuse is an escalating threat that is increasingly normalised, with responses that are often fragmented or inadequate. We pledge to develop a better understanding of technology-facilitated abuse and support coordinated policies and robust frameworks to prevent abuse, support survivors, and hold perpetrators accountable.
- Protect Digital Privacy as a Fundamental Human Right: In the digital age, the right to privacy is essential to freedom, dignity, and autonomy. We commit to upholding and advancing strong privacy protections for young adults, ensuring that digital platforms and data systems are governed by clear, enforceable, and human rights-respecting rules.
- Empower Through Digital Literacy and Meaningful Engagement: We recognise the resilience of young people and their capacity to lead positive change. To support this, we will support digital literacy initiatives that equip young adults with the skills to navigate online environments, protect their data and know their digital rights. We will also promote the meaningful engagement of young people in digital governance, from policy development to implementation and oversight – youth-led and community-based organisations should be an active part of the solution, not just observers
