My team’s dedication to empowering and transforming young people is what sets us apart. Together, we are creating something significant rather than merely checking boxes. Can you recall a moment during your time at Restless Development when your actions or decisions made a meaningful impact?
I recall conducting community dialogues where participants shared their genuine concerns about real issues affecting their communities. My decision to let them take the lead, rather than dominating the space, made a noticeable impact. They felt empowered, and their confidence grew visibly by the end of the meeting. That was a proud moment.
Which of the Restless values has stayed with you the most, and how do you find yourself living it even now?
Head-Professionalism is the value that has stuck with me the most. In my position, being professional means more than just adhering to rules and regulations; it also means acting with honesty, clarity, and consistency, particularly when tact and confidence are needed. I uphold this by making sure that hiring procedures are equitable and attending to safeguarding concerns
What’s one challenge you’ve taken on to grow personally or professionally?
Saying yes to public speaking was one of my toughest personal development obstacles. I used to shy away from it, but I made a conscious effort to do it, and now I speak to several people at leadership events, staff workshops, and meetings. It has greatly increased my confidence and assisted me in developing professionally.
You played a big role in fostering collaboration. What’s a moment where you saw teamwork truly make a difference?
During our quarterly staff workshop (QSW), a session was held on annual review planning. With limited time, the team had to pull off the session. Everyone pitched in, no egos, just pure collaboration. Watching it all come together was magic. That day, teamwork didn’t just make the dream work; it made the impossible happen.
What’s a project or hobby you’re passionate about that brings you joy?
I have a strong desire and passion to mentor young people. I oversee a small team of volunteers who come through me and receive professional development help. I get so much satisfaction from watching them develop and flourish.
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a hectic day?
Taking a hot bath, eating delicious cuisine, and listening to my favorite playlist are my favorite ways to relax. It facilitates my mental decompression and rejuvenation.
Can you share a memorable interaction or activity at Restless Development that brightened your mood during a tough week?
A memorable interaction at Restless Development for me was when we had a peer-to-peer session where colleagues shared their success stories and challenges. Listening to them made my day.
Who or what inspires you the most when it comes to building positive relationships, both at work and in your personal life?
When it comes to building positive relationships, I find inspiration in the resilience of the communities we serve. Witnessing how community members, often with minimal resources, come together to solve problems and support one another can be a profound lesson in collaboration and empathy.
Looking back, what was a quirky habit you had at the office that your coworkers found funny or unforgettable?
I have the habit of singing when I am in a good mood. The phrase “HR is in a good mood today” quickly grew into the unofficial office song and a kind of running joke.

What’s a surprising skill or talent you have that most people wouldn’t know about?
I am good at mindfulness facilitation. In high-stress environments, I have led short breathing sessions that helped teams reset and refocus. It’s a quiet skill, but one that’s made a big impact on wellbeing.
