Nuria Mshare

Nuria Mshare is a Tanzanian development leader with over 10 years of experience advancing gender equality, youth leadership, girls’ education, economic empowerment, climate justice, and sustainable development across Tanzania and East Africa. She currently serves as Hub Director at Restless Development in Tanzania, where she leads national strategy, resource mobilization, partnerships, and youth-led programming across education, livelihoods, governance, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and climate change. She has held senior leadership roles with HakiElimu, Malala Fund, Save the Children International, Oxfam, Hivos, and other development organizations, leading advocacy campaigns, fundraising efforts, policy engagement, gender-transformative programming, and multi-stakeholder partnerships.

Her work has focused on strengthening inclusive systems, amplifying the voices of young people and women, and influencing policies that expand opportunities for marginalized communities. Nuria holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex, a Postgraduate Diploma in Economic Diplomacy, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences and Management. She also brings strong board-level leadership experience, serving on several national and regional platforms, including Amref Health Africa Tanzania, Policy Forum, YUNA, AfriYAN, and the Africa Women Leadership Network Tanzania Chapter (AWLN). Recognised for her strategic leadership, public speaking, advocacy, and partnership- building skills, Nuria is committed to advancing inclusive, sustainable, and youth-led development that creates lasting social and economic transformation.
