The summit brought together over a thousand youths, change makers under one roof from all corners of Africa unified and collectively determined to engage towards aspirations of the African Union Agenda 2063.

The forum unified experts, goverments, UN bodies, NGOs, and the private sector and provided a platform for networking, connecting, knowledge exchange.

Together with our partners Marie Stopes Zambia under the Youth4Health Zambia project we held side event where we hosted a plenary session on Inclusive Approaches on the Importance of Involving Marginalised Groups to Improve Sexual Reproductive Healthcare Services.

The side event provided an opportunity for young people to engage in fruitful discussions aimed at promoting meaningful action towards inclusive approaches in improving sexual and reproductive healthcare services for adolescents, young people and marginalized groups across Africa.

During the event, young people such as Moses Kibet, a young champion from Kenya presented the community scorecard model explaining how it works to improve provision of youth- friendly SRH services in the county.

“When creating policies, we must understand the different age groups we serve, including the youth. Let’s use language that meets different age groups and engage them in the discussion.”
