UK - CREATIVE CONSULTANT

Voices for Development is a ground-breaking new programme which hopes to transform the way international volunteers contribute to international development debates and campaigns in the UK. A two year pilot, Voices for Development is being run in partnership by Restless Development and VSO.

As part of this programme, we are seeking to deliver two activism events in summer 2014, involving some of our returned volunteers in unique and memorable public activity, which will showcase their experiences and demonstrate how sustainable change can be made in poor people’s lives.

We are seeking tenders from consultants or organisations working in the field of social activism to help deliver this project.

Please send proposals to Alex at alex@restlessdevelopment.org by 12pm on Tuesday 29th April

UK - DIRECTOR

Restless Development is taking up the position as global banner carrier for youth-led development. We are demonstrating that young people can and must play a lead role in development by connecting high impact, youth-led programming in communities with effective, youth-led advocacy at national and international levels.

Restless Development has more than tripled in size over the past five years and has been repeatedly cited as a model of best practice in youth-led development by the World Bank, DFID, UNICEF, and many others. Deeply rooted in the belief that the energy and contributions of young people in the UK are essential to achieving our global mission, our UK work includes the agency’s International Volunteering, UK Public Engagement and Campaigning & Advocacy programming – a portfolio of programmes led through and by young people and volunteers.

We are looking for an exceptional leader, possessing an ability to lead the strategic direction of the agency’s UK based programming, policy and campaigns work. S/he will be capable of working across units, establishing respect, credibility and trust of key stakeholders within the organisation whilst shaping the direction of this energetic and strategic unit for the organisation.

Deadline extended, closing date: Midnight, Monday 5th May

programmes in Africa and South Asia.
