INDIA - Call for Proposals for Partnership

Restless Development is looking for a partner to implement a Gender Empowerment Programme in Dheli and Chennai slums, during one year, focusing on 3 components:
1) Financial empowerment
2) Leadership and
3) Combating gender based violence

Eligibility for applying:
- Should be a registered NGO in India with FCRA registration
- Should have proven track record of working on gender issues in the region
- The project objectives should contribute to partners’ longer-term strategic objectives and plans of the partner.
- The partner should have convening capacity, as well as advocacy skills

Time frame of the project: August 2014 and July 2015.

INTERNATIONAL - SENIOR INVESTMENT & PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER (Africa)

Restless Development is the banner carrier for youth-led development, demonstrating from the grassroots to the global policy levels that young people can and must play a lead role in development.

As part of Restless Development’s Global Strategy 2011-2015, we are working towards a sustainable and diverse revenue model and we aim to raise 50% of financing from in-country sources. This includes bilateral and multilateral donors, national governments, partner NGOs, corporates and trusts and foundations.

The Senior Investment and Partnerships Manager (Africa) will provide sustained hands-on support and technical direction to in-country fundraising activities across our Africa Country Programmes. The role will also lead Restless Development’s new regional strategy for East and Southern Africa – this will include planning the set up of an office space in a regional hub such as Pretoria or Nairobi where the role will be based in the future.

TANZANIA - COUNTRY DIRECTOR

Restless Development is the banner carrier for youth-led development, demonstrating from the grassroots to the global policy levels that young people can and must play a lead role in development. We’ve been in Tanzania for the last twenty years, growing, changing and responding to the most urgent issues facing young Tanzanians. Directly reaching over 110,000 young people across 14 regions each year, it is our young volunteers and youth networks that lead and deliver transformative change with and for young people.

We're now recruiting for a new Country Director in Tanzania to build on the successful legacy of our outgoing Director by leading the review, development and implementation of our next Tanzania strategy (2016 to 2021). From the agency’s office in Dar es Salaam (and with regular travel to our offices in the Southern Highlands and other zones), s/he will lead the direction of 40 staff members, through the management of a Number 2 who heads up operations of the agency in country. The Country Director will work alongside a dynamic National Board made up of currently 10 members, and will inherit established networks and partnerships with a range of national civil society partners, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors and government.

UGANDA - GRADUATE YOUTH INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Are you a fresh graduate looking for productive work experience with a reputable organisation? Are you looking to gain the employability skills that will enable you to flourish in the current competitive job market? If so, then we would like to hear from you. Undertaking an internship through our Graduate Internship Programme will enable you to gain real life work experience and prove yourself to a potential employer.

We are looking for talented young graduates. To participate you must:
• Be aged between 23 and 30 years
• Be a citizen of Uganda
• Hold a diploma (of at least two years) or university degree (first or upper second class)
• Demonstrate leadership experience or potential
• Demonstrate commitment to help others, and promote community development
• Be entrepreneurial and open to new challenges and ideas
• Be ready to commit to a placement for six months

UK - ICS SELECTOR

The ICS team is looking for Selectors to assess and recruit young volunteers who will be taking part in the large-scale International Citizen Service volunteering programme. We believe that the best people to select our future volunteers are those who have had direct experience of volunteering or working with Restless Development previously. You will know what it takes to become a great volunteer and ambassador for our organisation. Through this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize that invaluable information by finding Restless Development’s future ICS volunteers.

Selectors will assess the suitability of applicants against the criteria of the programme through structured one-on-one interviews and through observed group activities. Selectors will also be trained to lead information sessions outlining the work of Restless Development and the ICS programme.

As a Selector, you will be paid £50 per day and travel costs will be reimbursed up to a maximum of £20 per Selection Day.
