Young People Lead the Charge Against Gender-Based Violence with #Click4Change to End Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Campaign
Harare, Zimbabwe – 08 September 2026
Restless Development Zimbabwe, with support from UN Women, has launched #Click4Change to End Gender-Based Violence (GBV), a bold youth-led movement using arts, technology and digital innovation to inspire action against GBV and advance gender equality across Zimbabwe. The 10-month initiative will engage 450 young artists, innovators and digital content creators across Harare, Bulawayo, Manicaland, Mashonaland Central and Masvingo, while reaching at least 150,000 people through digital and community campaigns. The initiative is funded by the European Union (EU) and Embassy of Switzerland. It builds on the success of the Spotlight Initiative.
Through hackathons, community theatre, spoken word, murals and social media, #Click4Change to End GBV will place young people at the centre of creating innovative solutions, challenging harmful gender norms and amplifying survivor-centred voices.

The campaign will include a National Youth Power Expo and Digital Advocacy Awards ceremony during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, celebrating youth-led innovation and collective action for a safer, more equal Zimbabwe.
