Youth research into the youth employment challenge in lower income countries.
More than half of the world’s population is under 30 years old – nine-tenths of whom are from developing and emerging economies. Never before have there been so many young people.
This report investigates the youth employment challenge in lower income countries as described in international datasets, and, second, by using an international survey of young people from lower and middle income countries, run by Restless Development and university researchers, to reflect on how these large-scale patterns are experienced in practice. The report focuses on the voices and experiences of young people.
