The RYSE is a fully youth-led organisation dedicated to empowering young people through radical education, activism, and intergenerational solidarity. With a core team of seven young leaders and a wider network of engaged youth, they run workshops, campaigns, and creative projects that challenge systemic issues like the failures of the education system, environmental injustice, and social inequality. Their work is rooted in values such as trust in young people, popular education, and action learning, ensuring that young voices are at the forefront of meaningful change. They have led initiatives like the School is a Crime Scene campaign, facilitated youth-led discussions on social justice, and collaborated with international movements for reparations and climate action.

With the funding, The RYSE aims to launch a Youth Assembly, a groundbreaking event that will bring young people together to discuss and take action on pressing issues in their community. The grant will provide financial stability, allowing them to expand outreach, purchase media equipment, and support volunteers. It will also help establish a more sustainable financial model, giving them the resources to continue their vital work and amplify youth voices in shaping a better future.
