Impact Reports YGF

The Young Gamechangers Fund has published two impact reports so far:

1. The Mid-term Review looks at the incredible impact of grant round one grantees. In short, this report offers insights into how flexible funding and youth-led governance are enabling young people to create real-world change.

2. The Lessons Learnt report is full of insights about how to run and manage a youth participatory funding model in a way that supports grantees with the mechanism they need to create real impact. It’s a useful tool for those interested in participatory, and how to fund and work with young people.

Discover the Emerging Impact

This report offers deep insights into how flexible funding and youth-led governance are enabling young people to create real-world change.

Young people aren’t just the future, they are leading the change right now. The Young Gamechangers Fund (YGF) is a pioneering initiative that puts power and resources directly into the hands of young activists, campaigners, and social entrepreneurs aged 10–25 across the UK.

Our Midterm Report presents the emerging findings from our first cohort, revealing the transformative impact of youth-led social action on individuals and communities alike.

A Roadmap for Shifting Power

Traditional grantmaking often defaults to “adult-led” structures where those over the age of 25 hold the majority of decision-making power. The Young Gamechangers Fund (YGF) challenges this hierarchy by proving that young people already possess the leadership and agency required to drive change, they simply need the right conditions to exercise it at scale.

This lessons-learnt report provides a deep dive into the Young Gamechangers Fund (YGF) model, to explore how flexible, trust-based funding can dismantle traditional “adult-led” hierarchies and lead to postive, youth-led change on various scales.
