Jade Barnett

Jade Barnett is launching the ‘Journey to Adulthood’ programme, a transformative initiative designed to equip care-experienced young people in Lewisham with essential life skills. This programme will provide financial literacy education, housing guidance, career opportunities, mental health support, and workshops on avoiding exploitation. By fostering self-awareness, resilience, and independence, Jade aims to empower young people to overcome adversity and transition successfully into adulthood.

As a passionate public speaker, youth advocate, and frontline practitioner, Jade has worked extensively with organisations such as The Prince’s Trust, The Diana Award, Barnardo’s, and the Mayor of London’s Violence Reduction Unit. Drawing from her personal experiences, she is dedicated to tackling systemic issues such as school exclusions, poverty, mental health, and serious youth violence. Through her expertise and advocacy, she hopes to create a lasting impact, ensuring that no young person has to navigate these challenges alone.
