Zimbabwe - ICS Team Leaders

Closing date: Sunday 14th May 2017

Location: Zimbabwe

Restless Development is a global agency for youth-led development. We have been supporting young people demand and deliver a just and sustainable world for all, since 1985. Our approach is based on the principle that young people can develop and lead effective long-term interventions in the areas of Civic Participation, Livelihoods and Sexual Reproductive Health.

Restless Development is implementing the Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP) in Zimbabwe - an integrated leadership, livelihoods and SRHR programme - in rural communities. This is an opportunity for young people who want to make a difference in their communities as volunteers for a period of 3 months. The placements will be in Chimanimani and Harare.

ICS is a once in a lifetime volunteering opportunity open to 18 to 25 year olds. We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and committed young people that want to make an impact. Our ideal volunteer is good at working with others, flexible and adaptive, positive and committed to the programme.

Who are we looking for?

If you are aged 23 or above, are able to help facilitate a team of young people from Zimbabwe and the UK work together on development projects and are looking to develop your leadership, organisation, or language skills, or gain experience in youth work or community development... then the role of ICS Team Leader may be just what you are looking for!

Whilst many of the things we look for in Team Leaders are similar to what we look for in all our ICS volunteers, we also look for organistion, facilitation and leadership skills. We prefer individuals who already have some relevant experience, usually either in leading groups or young people.

The deadline for applications is Sunday 14th May 2017. Please email your completed application form to infozimbabwe@restlessdevelopment.org. Women and individuals living with a disability are encouraged to apply.

We are the Youth Collective. If you believe in the power of young people, join our movement.
