Mabinti Tushike Hatamu (MTH)

young women reached with SRHR

Out of school girls can be vulnerable to Gender-based violence, early pregnancy, and HIV and AIDS. Mabinti Tushike Hatamu operates community workshops in three regions of Tanzania; Dar es Salaam, Iringa and Ruvuma. These workshops help out of school girls (age10-19) to claim their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights by increasing knowledge of, and access to, services and addressing societal and cultural norms in their communities that underpin Gender-Based Violence.

The workshops also cover life and livelihood skills and provide routes back into formal education, which strengthens their ability to become economically resilient and independent.

Now men cannot easily manipulate me like before because now I can make decisions the same as a man can.
