Bridging Barriers is a youth-led social mobility charity that helps young people from ethnically diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds access employment through mentoring. Founded by Kevin Osei at 21, the charity has already supported 600 young people, providing them with guidance, networking opportunities, and career advice to help them overcome employment barriers.
The funding will be used to expand their support by introducing virtual masterclasses on personal and professional development and quarterly networking events. These new services will equip young people with essential skills like confidence building, personal branding, and industry insights, while also giving them direct access to professionals and mentors. By strengthening their employability and social capital, this project will help disadvantaged young people secure meaningful career opportunities.
