Restless Development is registered in India as Students Partnership Worldwide India Project Trust. Restless Development (India) is a part of Restless Development (International) working in 11 countries globally, including 6 countries in Africa. Last year, Restless Development recruited, trained and supported more than 2,000 young people, aged 18-28, who volunteered their time and energies to work with us as Professional Peer Educators leading health, sexual and reproductive health (including HIV and AIDS), education and environmental programmes in underserved communities, working with more than 400,000 youth on a weekly basis.
Restless Development has a rising profile as go-to-agency on youth in development. We are stepping up our external representation in policy spaces but with critical eye on where we could be adding value and contributing to real change. This role will link into broader organisational opportunities play a leading role in identifying new opportunities to deliver against our National strategic framework, working very closely with the Country Director, Programme unit, Management committee and Global policy and Practice team.
The Youth Engagement Consultant will play a leading role in developing Restless Development advocacy strategy, including representation in key advocacy events, building networks, cultivating strategic partnerships and supporting youth participation in policy processes. We are at the early stage of developing and consolidating advocacy messages and resources for our strategy. This role will play a central role in driving forward this in the coming 12 months.
