This programme is led by local volunteers in four districts in Zimbabwe: Bulilima, Mangwe, Hwedza, Plumtree and Harare. Volunteers conduct their work in community areas, with in school and out of school youths. Through the volunteer programme volunteers gain leadership and communication skills; and become active citizens continuing to engage others in issues which are affecting young people in Zimbabwe.
The International Citizenship Service(ICS) is a volunteering programme which sees young national volunteers living and working alongside volunteers from the UK in communities in Harare and Chimanimani. Together they become a part of the local community and contribute to long term development projects, working together on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, and Livelihoods. Each ICS volunteer placement lasts three months.
