Salary: £31,618 gross per annum

Location: London, UK

In 2016 Restless Development will be launching a new strategy. We will be convening, advocating and empowering young people and youth led agencies across the world to lead change, and to collaborate with partners and governments who share our vision for young people to be at the forefront of achieving a just and sustainable world for all.
Our UK-based work will sit at the heart of this. We will be engaging young people in our work as volunteers, campaigners and globally connected active citizens. Core to this will be our role as part of a VSO led consortium, delivering the DFID-funded International Citizen Service (ICS) programme. ICS is a development programme that brings together young people from the UK and developing countries to volunteer in some of the poorest communities in Africa and Asia. Through ICS, young people will have positive development impact in host communities, develop personally, and become life-long active citizens.
We are looking for a Youth Programmes Manager to be responsible for the smooth running of the ICS programme in the UK, ensuring nearly 500 diverse young people are recruited, supported, trained and prepared to go on their Restless Development journey with ICS every year. Broader than this, the Youth Programmes Manager will help to drive forward the development and implementation of our new global strategy in the UK, helping us to engage thousands of young people in our work, unleashing the power of youth-led change.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting a diverse range of young people to develop and lead change; who is an effective programme manager able to meet key programme deliverables and improve programme quality; and who is able to lead and inspire a team.
