The successful candidate will join Restless Development at a pivotal moment in our history as we launch an ambitious new 5-year global strategy intended to re-shape the way that we and our partners engage in development issues identified as priority by young people themselves.
This role sits within Restless Development’s Programme Funding Team (PFT), responsible for supporting country programmes and global units to fundraise from institutional donors, providing fundraising capacity building support to country programmes, and ensuring high quality stewardship of donor relationships. Most funds raised within Restless Development come via country programmes, with coordination and strategic support from the PFT. Major institutional donors include DfID, SIDA, Comic Relief, Big Lottery Fund, SIDA, as well as UN agencies. You will be responsible for fundraising from institutions, via targeted prospecting, high quality proposal development and reporting, coordinating inputs across international departments and country teams to secure strategic fundraising. PFT remit is divided geographically, so this role would focus primarily on Asia, with scope to support on global opportunities. In addition to contributing to the design of a new business plan to support delivery of the new global strategy, you will play a role in transitioning the PFT into Restless Development’s international Programmes unit. This role would suit somebody looking to contribute to shaping a new team, helping to review and improve systems, and to gain management experience.
