Young people share a restless determination to address the problems that affect them the most. That’s where we come in. At Restless Development, we’re proud to be the banner carrier for youthled development, demonstrating from the grassroots to the global policy levels that young people can and must play a lead role in development.

Our UK-based advocacy, campaigning and capacity building work is growing. A new set of Sustainable Development Goals the Global Goals to tackle poverty, inequality and climate change, have now come into force. With a new strategy in sight from October 2016, we will be focusing attention on supporting young people in the UK and globally to shape policy; implement these new goals and hold dutybearers accountable for sustainable development.

As the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager you will play a critical and challenging role in helping us to shape how we measure this growing area of work, and ensure we are able to learn and grow as an organisation.

You will be supporting our Global Policy and Practice team who have been at the forefront of some of our biggest successes from making sure young people’s voices shaped the new Global Goals, to changing the practice of institutions and strengthening the global youth sector. You will also be working with the International Youth Engagement team, which engages young people from the UK as volunteers, campaigners and globally connected active citizens. In the past 12 months, the IYE team has supported over 400 young people to volunteer on the International Citizen Service; Coordinated DFID’s Youth Summit; and cochaired the Action/2015 youth campaign.

You will have at least two years experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning; an analytical mind; and ideally knowledge of advocacy, campaigning and capacity building work. Importantly, you will be committed to youthled development, and passionate about learning and improving.

The closing date for this position is 9am (GMT), February 15th 2016 (Monday). Please note we do not accept CVs or Cover Letters and will not accept applications submitted after the closing date.
