Young people are most affected by the most persistent problems in the world, yet are frequently overlooked as part of the solution. That’s where Restless Development comes in. Our mission is to place young people at the forefront of change and development.
Over the past five years of our current strategy, we’ve successfully carried the banner for youth-led development. We’ve demonstrated from the grassroots to the global policy spaces that young people can and must play a lead role in development. Our Global Policy and Practice team has been at the forefront of some of our biggest successes – from making sure young people’s voices shaped the new Global Goals, through to changing the practice of institutions, strengthening the global youth sector, and launching innovations like our ‘Youth Power’. Now, with our new strategy in sight from October 2016, exciting growth happening across the organisation, and the new set of Global Goals in force, we’re entering an era of incredible opportunity for Policy and Practice at Restless Development.
The Admin Support Officer will offer vital administrative and logistical support to the Policy and Practice team during a busy period of delivering events for the Case for Space project, trainings for the MTV Staying Alive Foundation and ensuring that young delegates can attend key events such as the United Nation’s High Level Political Forum in July. Besides this the Admin Support Officer will support the development of longer term Policy and Practice research, learning and programmes, by taking responsibility for data collection, monitoring and evaluation and reporting.
