Uganda - Volunteer Advocates

ARE YOU A YOUTH ADVOCATE? THEN WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.
Restless Development is taking up the position as national banner carrier for youth-led development; demonstrating at local and national levels that young people can and must lead development. We are looking for 10 energetic young advocates on the My voice My Rights programme that will take lead on youth-led research and advocating for quality sexual and reproductive health services for young people. 

Requirements:

  • Must be a Ugandan aged 18 to 28.
  • Must be committed to the principle of volunteering to support community development.
  • Must be a resident of either Jinja or Mayuge; and willing to work with in these Districts.
  • Should be fluent in English, Lusoga/Luganda
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, or Interest in Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health issues and advocacy.
  • Experience of facilitating community dialogues and youth meetings
  • Computer skills( Microsoft word, Excel and Power point)
  • Demonstrated ability to connect with fellow young people in his/her District.
  • Ability to participate in the programme between March 2017 to September 2017
  • Level of Education: - Graduates or senior six leaver.
