Restless Development South Africa is recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant Coordinator to oversee the implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems for our European Commission-funded ‘Towards a more accountable South Africa: Placing young people and youth civil society at the centre of change for development in the Eastern Cape’ Project, and to work closely with the Programme Quality Manager on all aspects of the organisation’s monitoring, evaluation, research and reporting system. The ‘Towards a more accountable South Africa’ project is an innovative collaborative action which will build an informed, unified and coordinated network of grassroots organisations focussed on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR), linked to an empowered movement of young people in the Eastern Cape who will partner with state actors to improve implementation of ASRHR policies and effectively participate in core accountability structures relating to them. The project will be implemented in the OR Tambo and Alfred Nzo Districts of the Eastern Cape.
The M&E Assistant Coordinator position is a key role within our programmes team. The role will include facilitation of M&E training and on-going mentoring and support for partner CSOs and peer educators, field visits for project monitoring, data collection, verification and reporting, research and evaluation and data dissemination.
The successful candidate will be will be a practical, solution-focussed individual, committed to delivering high quality programmes, ensuring that best practice and learning constantly informs our programme delivery on the ground. They will be a dynamic, committed, experienced and passionate team member, able to oversee programme monitoring, and to support our partner and volunteer-led programmes.
