29th April – 3rd May 2013
Everywhere. Live Below The Line is an international event. People across the UK, Australia, the US and Canada will be signing up to take on this challenge and seeking sponsors within their social networks.
There are currently 1.4 billion people living on less than £1 a day. That’s less than £1 to cover ALL living expenses. The majority of those living in extreme poverty are young people under the age of 25.
These young people face some of the most serious and persistent problems in the world including HIV/AIDS, no access to education and high unemployment. This is all underpinned by poverty.
We want people in the UK to better understand the restrictions £1 a day causes and use their experience and make extreme poverty the topic of conversations in homes around the country.
Everyone! To gain some insight into the lived reality of 1.4 billion people (more than 20 times the population of the UK!), we’re challenging ourselves and you to Live Below the Line.
By following recipes, shopping lists and tips to create 33p meals. By sharing this eye-opening experience with friends, family, workplace and school teams.
So save the date. 29th April – 3rd May 2013 Live Below the Line. Register here.
