Coordinating Development in Nepal

01 Feb 11

On 25th January, Restless Development met with the Nepal's caretaker Prime Minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal, to talk about the crucial role that young people in the country can play to bring about peace and continue development in the country.

We asked the Prime Minister to step in and give the go-ahead to several project agreements which have been stalled by the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare.

Along with the other global organisations that make up the Association of International NGOs, Restless Development will continue to work alongside the Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor to bring issues facing young people in Nepal to the fore, and ensure young people have an active involvement in policy-making.

It’s a really encouraging step for Restless Development towards ensuring that young people in Nepal have an input into shaping the future of the country.
