Restless Development (Zambia) receives recognition in The Big Issue for mobilising young people in development work*.
The article in Zambia’s Big Issue recognised Restless Development’s youth-fuelled methodology, praising Restless Development for proving that young people ‘do in fact have the capacity to take on a meaningful leadership role in addressing the most pressing global issues.’
As a result of the five approaches Restless Development takes towards youth-led development: Direct Delivery, Working Through Partners, Pushing for Change, Sharing and Learning and A Generation of Leaders, the production of ‘young skilled Zambians, with capacity building and HIV/Life Skills programming’ has grown in Zambia.
The article also praised the over 500 former volunteer peer educators in Zambia, who are placed ‘at the heart of the capacity building and advocacy work’ that Restless Development administrates.
