International Speaker - Youth Stop AIDs

Closing date: 1.00pm (GMT) Thursday 10th November

Salary: Voluntary position

Location: UK/Global South

Are you a young person affected by HIV or AIDS?

Do you have the skills, knowledge and passion to inspire other young people to take action?

Then we want to hear from you!

Each year Youth Stop AIDS brings the voices of young people affected by HIV & AIDS from across the world to the UK. There is nothing more powerful than hearing the true-life stories of people affected by these diseases, and their ability to motivate people to take action and change this reality.

We are looking for a young, passionate speaker from the Global South (selected countries only*) to join us on our annual Youth Stop AIDS Speaker Tour in February 2016.

Over three weeks our speakers will tell their stories to young people and decision-makers at approximately 15 Tour events and take part in media interviews. Following the UK Speaker Tour, the International Speaker will organise a 2 day workshop with young people in their home country in May or June to share the skills and experience that they receive on the Speaker Tour.

This is a voluntary role, but costs – including travel to and from the UK, visas, training, accommodation and food – will be covered by Restless Development; more detailed information is available in the International Speaker Role Description below.
Interested? Great!

Applying is easy – after downloading and reading the International Speaker Role Description, complete the International Speaker Application Form below and email it to Tabby at by 13:00 (GMT) Thursday 10th November 2017.
