With 65% is of the population under 25; coupled with high fertility rates, India is one of the youngest countries in the world. We’ve been in India for the last thirty years, growing, changing and responding to the most urgent issues facing young Indians. Restless Development delivers programmes in Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Delhi at present. During the last year, we reached out directly to over 150,000 young people across four states. Restless Development works through the model of young volunteers and youth led networks that lead and deliver transformative change.
Programme Manager – North will manage the programmes of Restless Development in the Northern States of the Country to ensure the highest standards in performance and programme delivery. Based in our Head Office in New Delhi (with regular travel to other operational locations), you will ensure programmes are delivered to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will have a very good understanding of current trends on working with young people and landscape of intervention happening in the country including skill development and youth livelihoods. You will have managed and teams in past and delivered results in similar programmes aimed at young people. You must demonstrate your ability to manage teams and largescale programme independently. As we will be rolling out our new strategy and new programmes, you will; apart from managing and delivering on programmes, also manage partnerships and identify newer opportunities for growth. You will join at an exciting time, in which we will be working closely with the Country Director, Management and Board to nationalize and operationalize our next strategy and business plan beyond 2016. One of the key responsibilities will be in supporting the roll out and implementation/integration into the new upcoming strategy.
