ICS is open to all UK and EEA citizens aged 18+. General participants must be 18-25, team leaders are 23-35. Read more about who can apply here.
ICS is for you, regardless of your background, skills or qualifications.
We welcome applications from young people with disabilities, and are happy to discuss your individual situation so you can find out more about your options.
Remember to state in your application form that you heard about ICS through Restless Development. You can also state your prefered agency, so if you would like to do ICS with Restless Development, please say so in the allocated space and the applications team will try their hardest to allocate you to us.
You don't need any qualifications or skills to apply. We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and committed young people that want to make an impact. Our ideal volunteer is good at working with others, flexible and adaptable, positive and committed to the programme.
As a Team Leader, you'll have the opportunity to lead and support a group of General Participants. You'll also work with community leaders, provide welfare support to volunteers and assist our in-country staff in ensuring the programme is delivered to a high standard.
We offer some Team Leaders the opportunity to work overseas for approximately three to nine months depending on the placement.
Team Leaders must be aged 23-35 and should have previous experience of supporting/leading a group of people and/or overseas work/volunteering experience.
